Cheryl has also shown her mettle, primarily in the Canadian fashion industry. Among her many accomplishments she co-founded Andrew’s for Women in Toronto’s prestigious Hazelton Lanes. Cheryl also has a strong interest in the medical sciences, health and fitness, recently earning her certification as a sports instructor.
Rob and Cheryl were married in 1986, and are the proud parents of two children. They reside in Toronto and have long been recognized as caring, committed philanthropists within their community.
In 2003, Rob and Cheryl decided to share their profound respect for life and health by joining University Health Network’s ongoing search for the cure and prevention of human disease.
With their generous support, the McEwen Centre for Regenerative Medicine was founded, allowing the Centre's Investigators to embark on an exciting journey to expand the frontiers of medical knowledge. In 2007, Rob and Cheryl matched their original gift with a second generous contribution to support breakthrough research at the McEwen Centre.
Rob and Cheryl McEwen invite others to assist in this remarkable and promising journey of discovery.

This vision, plus the energy, commitment and focus of UHN staff, compelled me to give their research the financial support it urgently needs.” - Rob McEwen
